Missing Wajir Huduma Centre Manager Found Alive at Border Town

Wajir: The missing Wajir Huduma Centre Manager, Hussein Abdirahman, was found alive at Dhobley border town in Wajir this morning in weak condition, according to family sources. Abdirahman, who serves as an Assistant County Commissioner (ACC), had been missing since July 8, 2025.

According to Kenya News Agency, local security agencies and the National Police Service have denied any involvement in the disappearance of the officer. The situation has been a matter of concern, and authorities are actively working to understand the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and subsequent appearance.

Commenting on the matter in Garissa town, Northeastern Regional Commissioner John Otieno stated that security agencies are diligently following up on the situation and that a comprehensive report regarding the ACC's disappearance and reappearance would be released soon. "It is unfortunate that the Assistant County Commissioner who manned the Huduma Centre in Wajir went missing sometime back, and the investigative agencies did everything possible to trace him, and unfortunately, it yielded no fruits," Otieno remarked.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that Abdirahman was seen in Dhobley, Somalia. Commissioner Otieno assured that an official position on these developments would be provided shortly. The discovery of Abdirahman in weak condition has raised further questions about his time in disappearance, prompting a thorough investigation by the authorities to ensure clarity and accountability.
