A High-Level of Inter-Ministerial meeting was held in Mogadishu today and was opened by the Ministry of Women and Human Rights and the African Union representatives for Children in Somalia to discuss the welfare and the rights of children.

The focus of the meeting was on the inter-ministerial consultation on ratification of the African Charter on Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC).

The meeting was co-hosted by the Federal Government, African Union, German Humanitarian Assistance, and Save the Children organization.

The meeting was attended by officials from several Ministries of the Federal Government of Somalia led by the Ministry of Women and Human Rights, the African Union Representative for Children in Somalia, and other officials.
