Ministry of Infrastructure and Opening Up Contributes 58 Million CFA Francs to Patriotic Support Fund

Ouagadougou – The Ministry of Infrastructure and Opening Up has contributed 58,808,500 CFA francs to Burkina Faso’s Patriotic Support Fund, as confirmed by the ministry’s communication services. The donation was formally handed over in Ouagadougou by Minister Adama Luc Sorgho to the Minister of Economy, Finance and Foresight, Dr. Aboubakar Nacanabo. This contribution is part of a broader effort by the ministry’s staff and partners, including unions, to support ongoing efforts to reclaim national territory.

Minister Sorgho emphasized that contributions from his department would continue “until the total liberation of the territory,” signaling ongoing support for the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). These funds are intended to boost the morale and capabilities of forces currently engaged in operations to maintain and restore the integrity of Burkina Faso’s territory.
