Minister Zoungrana Officially Launches 2026 CQP Exams in Manga

Ouagadougou: The Minister of Secondary Education, Technical and Vocational Training, Moumouni Zoungrana, officially launched the 2026 Professional Qualification Certificate (CQP) exams in Manga. A total of 14,938 candidates are participating in the exams across Burkina Faso, with 372 candidates from the Nazinon region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the official ceremony was held at the Piero Marinoni Training Center in Manga. The event saw the minister open the first envelope of exam papers, attended by notable figures including the Minister of Servants of the People, the Deputy Minister in charge of Animal Resources, and representatives from various ministries and regional authorities.

In the Nazinon region, candidates are being examined in fields such as women's and men's tailoring, welding, two-wheel and automotive mechanics, dyeing, weaving, and hairdressing. Dj¨n¨ba Ou©draogo, the regional director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training for Nazinon, highlighted that there are 372 candidates, with a majority being female.

"All the examiners are present, the exam papers are available, and the materials are in place," Ou©draogo stated, ensuring that the exams would proceed smoothly. She also encouraged candidates to rely on their own knowledge and avoid fraudulent activities to ensure the results accurately reflect their skills.

Minister Zoungrana emphasized the reforms initiated in the education sector, aligning with the vision of the national leadership under President Captain Ibrahim Traor© and Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo. He outlined the government's commitment to transforming the education system to better reflect national values and realities, aiming to enhance the employability of young people.

The minister also expressed gratitude to the teaching staff, supervisors, and other contributors to the exams' organization. He acknowledged the Defense and Security Forces for their role in ensuring secure exam conditions nationwide.

Following the CQP launch, Minister Zoungrana visited the Naaba Baongo provincial high school in Manga, where Baccalaureate session juries are stationed. He commended their dedication, urging them to maintain professionalism in their work to expedite the announcement of results.
