Minister Zerbo Updates Burkinabè Community in Niamey on Security Progress


NIAMEY – Aminata Zerbo/Sabane, Burkina Faso’s Minister of Digital Transition, Posts and Electronic Communications, spoke to the Burkinabè diaspora in Niamey about significant strides made in the battle against terrorism. Her speech was part of a broader engagement during the closing moments of the Niger National Digital Week.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Zerbo provided a verbal update to the Burkinabè community, noting that many have returned to their villages thanks to the ongoing efforts of Burkina Faso’s military. She emphasized that the national forces continue to reclaim territory and counteract terrorist activities beyond the country’s borders.



The Consul General of Burkina in Niamey, Mohamed Zigané, also highlighted the importance of Minister Zerbo’s visit. He remarked on the positive exchange about the living conditions of the Burkinabè in Niger and their strong ties with the host country. Minister Zerbo has been in Niamey since April 18, representing Burkina Faso at Niger’s inaugural National Digital Week, where Burkina Faso was the guest of honor.
