Minister Urges Unity and Commitment in Public Service Delivery

Luanda: Angolan Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Marcy Lopes, on Tuesday emphasized the need for unity, humility, and commitment to citizens in an effort to achieve excellence in public service delivery. He underscored the importance of prioritizing collective interest over individual concerns during the closing of the XVII Consultative Council of the Sector, held under the theme 'Modernity, Integrity and Valorization of Human Capital at the Service of the Citizen'.

According to Angola Press News Agency, Marcy Lopes articulated that vanity and ego should be set aside, as the Ministry and the Nation are greater than any individual. He insisted that citizens should leave satisfied with the services provided by the Ministry's professionals, emphasizing that such satisfaction is invaluable. The Minister urged a focus on established goals, acknowledging the challenges of working in isolation but encouraging individuals to do the best they can.

The 17th Advisory Council on Justice and Human Rights, which spanned two days, discussed various topics including institutional discipline and coordination, as well as financial and administrative management among other issues.
