Ouagadougou: The Minister of Security calls on the security forces to strengthen their cohesion and their ties with the population. The Minister of Security, Comrade Mahamadou Sana, met on Friday in Dori with all components of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) in the Liptako region. This meeting was part of his working visit to the region and aimed to encourage the forces engaged in the fight against terrorism. According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Mahamadou Sana addressed the various branches of the security forces, emphasizing the need to consolidate cooperation and synergy of action between the units. He highlighted that the union of forces remains a determining factor in effectively addressing the security challenges facing the region. The head of the Security Department called on the security forces to increase initiatives likely to strengthen public trust. He stressed that collaboration between the armed forces and citizens is essential for obtaining reliable intelligence and consolida ting security gains. The minister stated that he had come to congratulate the forces involved for the results achieved on the ground, which have contributed to weakening the terrorists. He urged them to maintain the pressure in order to create the conditions for a lasting return of peace to the Liptako region. Mahamadou Sana welcomed the collaboration between the defense and security forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). He considered that this complementarity is now a reality on the ground and contributes significantly to the successes achieved in security operations. The Minister of Security reaffirmed the highest authorities' gratitude to the security forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) for their sacrifices. He expressed his pride in the work accomplished and his satisfaction with the daily efforts to ensure the protection of the population and promote the gradual return of peace to the Liptako region.
