Gourma: The Minister of Health, Dr. Robert Lucien Jean-Claude Kargougou, inaugurated the Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) of sector 3 of Fada N'Gourma, marking a significant development funded entirely by the town hall's resources.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the newly inaugurated CSPS comprises a dispensary, a maternity ward, a pharmacy, and two waiting halls. The project was completed at a cost of 117 million CFA francs, showcasing the local authorities' commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure.
Dr. Kargougou expressed his satisfaction and gratitude for the project, highlighting it as a symbol of local commitment to public welfare. He acknowledged the resilience of the Fada N'Gourma community in the face of national challenges and paid tribute to their determination.
The minister praised the decision of the special delegation of Fada N'Gourma to invest in healthcare, illustrating the effectiveness of decentralization. He emphasized the fundamental right to health and its prioritization at the local level.
He noted that the new center would alleviate the burden on the Regional University Hospital Centre (CHR-U) and improve care quality. Dr. Kargougou urged the local population to take responsibility for the center, emphasizing regular attendance and adherence to health advice.
He also reminded health workers of their duty to provide welcoming, diligent, and professional care, encouraging them to make the CSPS a model of performance and compassion.
Kampadilemba Jr´me Idani, President of the special delegation of Fada N'Gourma, credited the project's inception to a plea by former regional health director Gaston Soubeiga. He commended the town hall's efforts in fully financing the construction, which aims to bring healthcare services closer to the residents of sector 3 and enhance the municipality's overall health offerings.
