Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will travel tomorrow to the United Arab Emirates, where he will meet with his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
It is noted that this will be the Minister’s fourth visit to the United Arab Emirates since taking office, reaffirming the particularly close ties between the two states.
The talks are expected to focus on bilateral strategic cooperation, following the signing of the agreement on foreign policy and defence cooperation last November, developments in the Eastern Mediterranean in the light of the Turkish Foreign Minister’s recent visit to Athens, and broader developments in the Middle East and the Gulf.
During his stay in Abu Dhabi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will also visit the new premises of the Greek Embassy.
