Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will travel to the Republic of Cyprus on November 16, 2021, where he will participate in the Economist’s 17th Annual Cyprus Summit titled “Working towards a secure environment for sustainable recovery” (Nicosia, November 15 – 16, 2021).
The Minister of Foreign Affairs will participate in a panel discussion themed “Can the potential of peace and co-operation prevail in the Eastern Mediterranean? – Adherence to the international law: Is it a sufficient condition for peace in the region?”
During his stay in Cyprus, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will hοld talks with his Cypriot counterpart, Nikos Christodoulides. Statements to the press will follow at approximately 13:20.
The talks are expected to cover coordination on all issues, such as developments in the Cyprus issue and the Eastern Mediterranean.
Cooperation in multilateral schemes is also expected to be discussed, as well as the results of today’s Foreign Affairs Council, where the issue of Varosha will be discussed.
