Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will visit Israel tomorrow, Tuesday January 31, where he will hold a meeting with Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eli Cohen.
The two Foreign Ministers will have a one-on-one meeting at approximately 09:00, which will be followed by expanded talks.
The two Ministers of Foreign Affairs will then make joint statements, followed by a private working breakfast.
During his stay in Israel, the Minister of Foreign Affairs is scheduled to be received by Israeli President, Isaac Herzog and Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
During the Minister’s visit to Israel, talks are expected to focus on deepening Greek-Israeli cooperation in a wide range of areas, including energy, investment and defence, as well as within trilateral formats. Furthermore, talks are expected to cover international and regional developments, including developments in the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean.
It is noted that Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias’ visit to Israel is the first visit of a European Foreign Minister to Israel, following the swearing-in of the country’s new government on December 29, 2022.
