Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will visit Albania (Tirana) tomorrow, Wednesday, December 21, 2022, where he will meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania, Olta Xhaçka.
The two Foreign Ministers will have a one-on-one meeting followed by expanded talks.
Joint statements to the press will follow at approximately 11:10 (EEST).
During the visit, the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, will host a lunch for the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Discussions are expected to focus on the development of bilateral relations in a wide range of areas, current international and regional developments, such as the Russian invasion of Ukraine and developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as on the European perspective of the Western Balkans.
During his stay in Tirana, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will visit the Arsakeio Greek-Albanian College, as well as the Albanian-American school “Protagonists”, which operates under the “Spirit of Love” Foundation of the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias visited Albania in October 2020 and May 2022, while Albanian Foreign Minister Olta Xhaçka visited Greece in early December.
