Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will travel to Paris tomorrow Tuesday, December 13, 2022, to participate in the Conference “Standing with the Ukrainian people” (“Solidaires de peuple ukrainien”).
It is a high-level international conference to support the Ukrainian people, with the main objective of addressing their immediate needs and strengthening Ukraine’s resilience for the winter season. The Conference will be held at the level of Heads of State and Government, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, as well as Presidents of International Organisations. The Conference will be co-chaired by the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, and, via teleconference, by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Greece has provided, among other things, humanitarian aid of over seven million euros to address the humanitarian needs of the Ukrainian people. Moreover, the Greek Government has committed itself to contribute to the reconstruction effort in Ukraine in a wide range of areas, including the protection of cultural heritage, in particular in the Odessa region.
