Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will travel to Brussels tomorrow, Monday, December 12, 2022, to participate in the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) of the European Union (EU).
The FAC will be preceded by the EU-Eastern Partnership (EaP) Foreign Ministers Meeting, which is expected to be attended by the EU Foreign Ministers and their counterparts from five of the six Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine).
Topics on the agenda of the FAC include the Russian invasion of Ukraine (the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, D. Kuleba, will join the discussion, via teleconference, at the beginning) and the situation in Iran.
Under “Current Affairs”, the Foreign Ministers will exchange views on current international and regional developments, including the situation in Moldova, the Southern Neighbourhood, Human Rights at international level, the European Peace Facility, situation in Tunisia, the Global Gateway strategy, etc.
