Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will travel to Tunisia (Djerba) tomorrow, Saturday, November 19, 2022, to represent Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, at the 18th Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF).
In particular, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will participate in the panel discussion “La Francophonie of the future”, as well as in the process of electing the new Secretary-General of the OIF.
The OIF Strategic Framework for the period 2023-2030 is also expected to be adopted during the Summit.
Greece has been a full member of the OIF since 2006.
It is noted that the Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the Secretary-General of the OIF, Louise Mushikiwabo, in Athens, during her visit to Greece in July 2020.
On the sidelines of the OIF Summit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs is scheduled to have a meeting with the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović.
