My visit to Bahrain ends today, during which I had the opportunity to participate in the ‘Manama Dialogue’ forum, to express the views of our country, to be received by the King, and to discuss with my colleague, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain.
We maintain very close relations with Bahrain. Bahrain is a country that has always stood by our side in International Organizations, supported our candidacy for the United Nations Security Council, and is a country that has condemned the conversion of Hagia Sophia into a mosque.
It is also a country that holds similar positions to ours on issues of International Law and the International Law of the Sea, on which we had the opportunity to discuss and coordinate our efforts; an extremely successful discussion, a discussion that also paves the way for economic cooperation and investment, from Bahrain to Greece and from Greece to Bahrain.
It is always my pleasure to visit countries which have the friendly feelings Bahrain has for our country.
