PÔ, NAHOURI — In a significant show of support, Jacques Sosthène Dingara, the Minister in charge of National Education, distributed essential food supplies to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in Nahouri on Friday, August 30, 2024. The donation, consisting of 57 bags of corn and 70 bags of rice, was handed over in a symbolic ceremony in Pô.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General of the province of Nahouri, the food supplies will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the VDP. He expressed deep appreciation for the donation, noting its importance for the volunteers who play a vital role in the security of the region.

The event was part of Minister Dingara’s tour across the Center-South region, aimed at boosting morale and showing solidarity with both the VDP and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) stationed there. This gesture underscores the government’s commitment to backing its volunteer forces actively engaged in defending the homeland.
