Dori: The Minister of Basic Education, Literacy and the Promotion of National Languages, Jacques Sosthene Dingara, assessed the conditions of the educational and administrative activities at the Non-Formal Basic Education Center in Dori. This visit took place during the resumption of educational activities for the second term of the 2025-2026 school year.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Dingara, accompanied by Abdoul Karim Zongo, the governor of the Sahel region, state representatives, and educational community members, aimed to emphasize the significance of non-formal education and vocational training for young people and women. During his visit, the minister engaged in discussions with center officials, trainers, and trainees to evaluate the training's effectiveness and the participants' engagement levels.
The center in Dori accommodates over 200 learners across sectors such as sewing and two-wheeled vehicle mechanics. Qualified instructors provide practical training tailored to real-world needs. Minister Dingara observed the learners' enthusiasm and the training activities' smooth progression. He advised beneficiaries to remain disciplined, diligent, and perseverant to maximize the lessons learned.
Minister Dingara also urged trainers to maintain supervision quality and encouraged administrative staff to continue their efforts for the center's seamless operation. His visit underscores the educational authorities' commitment to enhancing vocational training as a means for empowerment and socio-economic integration.
