Ouahigouya: The Minister of National Education, Literacy and the Promotion of National Languages (MEBAPLN), Jacques Sosth¨ne Dingara, presided on Monday at the "Souli" public school block in Ouahigouya over the monthly regional flag-raising ceremony, where he praised the efforts of teachers to meet the challenges of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP), AIB observed on site.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Dingara commended the efforts of education stakeholders who, despite some constraints, are striving to provide training for the younger generation in order to successfully meet the educational challenges in line with the People's Progressive Revolution. He emphasized that educational reforms are underway in the Yaadga region, highlighting that "children's education is a national priority, and the entire community must invest in its success."
During his visit, Sosth¨ne Dingara attended an English lesson in a CE1 class at the "Souli C" school and visited a newly constructed building by an education partner and a school garden. He addressed members of school councils, reminding them that "school is everyone's business, starting with the village chief."
The MEBAPLN invited learners to focus on endogenous values such as respect for order and discipline, which are regarded as the primary elements of the national identity. Pascal Waongo, the regional director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education in Yaadga, noted that the minister's presence demonstrates his interest in education in the region.
The governor of the region, Thomas Yampa, praised the dynamism of the minister and the government for implementing the RPP, a vision desired by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, in the field of education. Minister Dingara was accompanied by Governor Thomas Yampa and representatives of all constituted bodies and the educational community.
