Mining Company Donates 5 Million FCFA to Nazinon Governor for ‘Deme Sira’ Campaign

Ouagadougou: A few days before the closing of the national solidarity campaign called 'Deme Sira', scheduled for January 31, 2026, the Governor of the Nazinon region, Massadalo Yvette NACOULMA, received, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in Manga, a check for five million CFA francs (5,000,000 FCFA) from the mining company KIAKA SA. The official handover took place at the governorate offices. The check was presented by the Director of Corporate Affairs of KIAKA SA, Dr. Christian Ouedraogo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Doctor Ouedraogo stated that this gesture of solidarity is a response to the call made to the vital forces and economic partners by the Governor of the Nazinon region on December 4, 2025, at the Place de la Nation in Manga, during the ceremony for the handing over of the torch of the 'Deme Sira' campaign. Through this financial contribution, the mining company intends to support the efforts of regional and national authorities in favor of the most vulnerable social groups, in a context marked by humanitarian challenges.

Upon receiving the donation, the regional authority, on behalf of the Minister of Family and Solidarity, expressed its gratitude to the donors for this act of generosity. It emphasized that this financial support will undoubtedly help alleviate the suffering of vulnerable people and internally displaced persons, beneficiaries of the "Deme Sira" campaign.

The "Deme Sira" solidarity campaign aims to mobilize resources for vulnerable populations throughout the country.
