Minibus Overturns in Kavango West, Injuring Four Critically

Kavango west: Four individuals are in critical condition following a minibus accident that occurred between Rundu and Nkurenkuru. Several others sustained various injuries when the vehicle overturned in the Kapako Constituency on Wednesday. According to Namibia Press Agency, Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga of the Namibian Police Force reported that the incident took place around 15h00 at Sivara village. The accident was precipitated by the bursting of the left rear tyre of a Nissan Microbus, registered in Rundu, which was carrying 10 occupants at the time. The driver, who was licensed, lost control of the vehicle, resulting in its overturning and causing significant damage. The four critically injured passengers were initially treated at Bunya health centre before being transferred to the Rundu State Hospital for further medical attention. Police investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
