Pretoria – The Western Cape will honor the late Captain Linda Buqa, who was fatally shot on Sunday, 19 November 2023, with a memorial service scheduled for Friday, 24 November 2023. The MEC for Police Oversight and Community Safety, Mr. R Allen, alongside Provincial Commissioner Lt Gen (Adv.) TE Patekile, will attend the service at the Kingsgate Fellowship Church in Table View.
According to South African Police Service, the memorial, set to start at 10:00, follows a wreath-laying ceremony at TABLE VIEW SAPS at 09:00 in remembrance of Captain Buqa. The memorial service and preceding ceremony are organized to pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of the fallen officer.
