Greece will host in Athens, on November 19, 2021, a Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Cyprus, Egypt and France.
In particular, the Meeting will be held between the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, the Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Christodoulides, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, and the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian.
The Meeting follows prior consultations and regular coordination between Greece, Cyprus and Egypt with France, in the framework of the “3 + 1” format. The previous meeting was held online in May 2020, with the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the aforementioned Meeting, developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, Libya, the Gulf, the Sahel region, as well as the Cyprus issue are expected to be reviewed.
Cooperation in the field of energy is also expected to be discussed, as well as international challenges, such as the pandemic, climate change and the migration issue.
Following the Meeting’s conclusion, statements to the Press are expected to be made at approximately 15:30.
