Medical Equipment Worth Over 17 Million CFA Francs Delivered to Health Facilities in Boromo


Bale: The special delegation of the Boromo commune presented medical equipment to the commune’s health facilities on Thursday, November 20, 2025. The donation was handed over by the president of the special delegation, Esaie Bamogo, to the provincial high commissioner, Martin Bako, president of the district health council.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the medical equipment is intended to strengthen the technical capacity of the hospital, maternity, and morgue services. The equipment consists of eight two-section stainless steel delivery tables with accessories, ten hospital beds, fifty single-person special foam hospital mattresses, and a mortuary cold room with space for four bodies and accessories. The equipment was distributed among the primary healthcare centers (CSPS) of Koho, Ouahabou, Nanou, Ouroubonon, the urban CSPS 1 and 2, and the Boromo Medical Center (CMA). In addition to the donation, the special delegation built the wall and the caretaker’s house for the new morgue at the CMA, which is not yet operational.



According to Mr. Bamogo, the donation is valued at 17,475,200 FCFA, including 10,675,200 FCFA for equipment for the primary healthcare centers (CSPS) and 6,800,000 FCFA for mortuary cold storage facilities. The equipment was purchased using funds from the 2024 municipal budget, which was amended last March.



The municipal authority welcomed the acquisition and the support that this endowment represents in the capacity to accommodate diseases and women in the future, but also the equipment of the new morgue. High Commissioner Martin Bako, after receiving the equipment, handed it over to the chief medical officer of the Hippolyte Bouda health district for proper use.



Furthermore, he expressed his gratitude to the donor for the specialized equipment, which addresses several services within the healthcare system. He also called upon the municipality to support the modernization of healthcare facilities and thanked them for their numerous efforts in assisting these facilities.



The donation was presented during the 4th ordinary session of the special delegation, which took place from November 20 to 21.
