MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs will visit Bloemhof in Lekwa Teemane to assess the situation after the area experienced heavy rains. MEC Miga will be accompanied by the Mayor Sebang Motlhabi.
People staying along the Vaal and Bloemhof dam or operating businesses nearby have been advised to move to safer places in the wake of the rainy season. Bloemhof dam is now filled to capacity and the sluice gates have been opened to release the water.
