Masalani Residents Celebrate Return of Electricity After Two-Week Outage

MASALANI — The residents of Masalani in Ijara constituency are relieved as power has been restored after a two-week disruption that significantly affected local businesses. The restoration effort was led by Kenya Power Company, guided by Mr. Silas Limo.

According to Kenya News Agency, the community faced severe challenges during the outage. Mrs. Furaha Abdullahi, a youth leader in Masalani, praised Kenya Power for their efforts in ending what she described as a period of significant hardship for the area. Mr. Limo detailed the difficulties faced in restoring power, including removing a one-tonne electricity pole from a flooded area near Boji Masalani bridge. The operation required cranes to remove damaged poles and conductors, but efforts over the past two weeks have finally brought relief as businesses return to normalcy.
