Marie Angèle School Complex Concludes Year with Celebratory Event in Koupèla

KOUPÈLA — The Marie Angèle private school complex in Koupèla celebrated the end of its school year activities on Saturday, June 1, 2024, with a vibrant ceremony featuring performances and the presence of local dignitaries.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the promoter of the school, the event was marked by various performances including songs, ballets, theaters, and traditional dances, showcasing the talents of the students. The ceremony was sponsored by Mamoudou Hanro, an independent development consultant and sociologist, and attended by administrative authorities, teachers, and parents.

Highlights of the year’s successes were shared by Waongo/Saré, who expressed satisfaction with the overall accomplishments of the students and staff. She noted that the school participated in the OSEP culture event, winning several prizes, and also enjoyed a successful extracurricular outing. “We cultivate excellence at home. We will present our first class to the CEP next year, which encourages us to work doubly hard,” she stated.

The president of the parents’ association also spoke highly of the educational standards and the role of education in shaping children’s futures. “It was an honor for me that the first leaders chose me to sponsor the closing marking the end of their school activities. I congratulate all the staff for their work and performance and I think the establishment has a great future,” he remarked, emphasizing the importance of instilling foundational values in students.
