Manchester United Goalkeeper André Onana Visits Ouagadougou for Charity Event

Ouagadougou: Famous Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana has arrived in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, for a series of charity events.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Cameroonian player reached the city on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday to participate in the 4th edition of the Bertrand Traoré Foundation’s charity days, scheduled from June 14 to 16. Upon his arrival, Onana was warmly welcomed by Bertrand Traoré, captain of the Stallions, along with his brothers Alain and David Traoré, and numerous fans.

Lassina Sawadogo, Commissioner of Etalon en Or, was also present at the airport and extended an invitation to Onana for the awards ceremony taking place on Saturday, June 14, at Canal Olympia Ouagadougou 2000. Both Onana and Traoré accepted the invitation. Onana might also attend the award ceremony for the best Burkinabe goalkeeper of the season, organized by His Majesty the Mogho-Naaba Baongho, on Saturday morning.

During his stay, Onana plans to support his former Ajax Amste
rdam teammate, Bertrand Traoré, by participating in various activities, including a gala match in Bobo-Dioulasso on Sunday, June 15. The match will feature other notable African football figures. Additionally, the Bertrand Traoré Foundation has organized visits to internally displaced persons, donations, awards, and other charitable activities.
