Man Found Deceased After Alleged Assault

Rehoboth: the community is grappling with the discovery of 51-year-old William Titus’s lifeless body near Jane Store in the Block B residential area. The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) found the body in the early hours of Sunday with signs of a violent death.

According to Namibia Press Agency (NAMPA), it is alleged that Titus died on the scene after being struck in the head with a wooden plank during a confrontation with a 22-year-old individual. The weekend crime report detailed that the NamPol patrol team found Titus’s body with a smashed head next to a tarred road, between the hours of 02:00 and 06:00. The suspect in the incident has been arrested, and the plank reportedly used in the assault has been recovered.

Additionally, in Windhoek, a man was robbed at gunpoint near Khomasdal’s Nampost office on Saturday, with valuables worth N.dollar 21,000 taken, including an iPhone 12 Pro Max and cash. In a separate event in the Hochlandpark residential area, a 30-year-old woman was robbed by two armed assailants of property valued at N.dollar 20,000, including an iPhone 11 and perfume bottles. No recoveries or arrests have been reported in these robberies, and police investigations continue.
