Man Dies in Road Accident Outside Otjiwarongo

Otjiwarongo: A 33-year-old male driver died instantly on Monday morning after he allegedly lost control of a white Toyota Corolla on the B1 road south of Otjiwarongo. The man, identified as Esmond Soroseb, was alone in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) Head of Community Affairs in the Otjozondjupa Region, Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha, confirmed the incident in a statement on Monday. Preliminary police investigations reveal that Soroseb was traveling from Okahandja towards Otjiwarongo when, approximately four kilometers south of Otjiwarongo, he allegedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn.

Mbeha stated that 'Soroseb was ejected from the vehicle and died at the accident scene. His body was found lying under his vehicle.' The accident occurred at about 11:50 on Monday morning.

Authorities have informed Soroseb's close relatives of his death. Police investigations are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
