OSHAKATI: A 20-year-old man was arrested by the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) for the alleged rape of two minor girls in the Okankolo Constituency, Oshikoto Region. The suspect, a neighbor of the victims, is accused of assaulting the girls, aged 10 and 14, multiple times since 2022. According to Namibia News Digest, NamPol's Acting Regional Commander, Wynand Neels, detailed that the assaults occurred at Uuholamo village, where the suspect allegedly entered the victims' home in the absence of their parents. He reportedly went to their bedroom during day or night, engaged in sexual acts with the girls simultaneously, and then threatened them to keep the abuse secret while promising them money. The suspect is scheduled to make a court appearance at the Ondangwa Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. The case continues to develop as local authorities pursue further investigation into the allegations.
