BOUSSÉ — Mamadou Rouamba was officially installed as the new provincial director in charge of infrastructure in Kourwéogo province on June 25, 2024, during a ceremony overseen by High Commissioner Siaka Barro.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was attended by ministry representatives and local authorities, marking a significant leadership transition in the provincial infrastructure management. Rouamba, a civil engineering design engineer appointed by the Council of Ministers on May 22, 2024, expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him by his superiors and pledged his commitment to advancing the province's infrastructure projects.
During his inaugural speech, Rouamba emphasized his readiness to collaborate closely with his team and local leaders to enhance the development initiatives spearheaded by his predecessor. He acknowledged the foundational work laid down by the outgoing director, Thierry Moumoula, and the support he received from the regional director, Sombasséré Sawadogo, during his tenure.
Moumoula, in his farewell address, highlighted the achievements under his leadership, including urban development and rural road construction, which were crucial for the province's infrastructure leading up to the December 11, 2021, celebrations. He also expressed his gratitude towards his colleagues for their dedication to the province's development.
The High Commissioner reassured Rouamba of the full support of the provincial administration as he takes on his new role. He also extended the community's gratitude to Moumoula for his service and wished him success in his future endeavors.
