Kuala Lumpur—Malaysia recorded a significant 27 percent increase in its natural rubber production in July, marking a substantial rise from the previous month and continuing growth year-over-year.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the production of natural rubber reached 37,960 tons in July, up from 29,881 tons in June. This performance also reflects a robust year-on-year increase of 33 percent from 28,533 tons recorded in the same month last year. Despite the surge in production, total stocks of natural rubber saw a decrease, dropping by 7.6 percent to 148,096 tons.

In terms of exports, Malaysia shipped 48,199 tons of natural rubber in July, showing a 21.1 percent increase from June. China remains the largest market, absorbing 30 percent of the total exports. Other major destinations include the United Arab Emirates (12.3 percent), India (11.6 percent), Germany (10.6 percent), and the United States (6.7 percent). The robust export figures were largely supported by the demand for natural rubber-based products like gloves, tires, tubes, and rubber thread.
