Lunda-norte: The governor of Lunda-Norte, Filomena Miza, conducted a field inspection on Monday in the municipalities of Chitato, Dundo, and Mussungue to assess the physical and financial progress of several socially impactful projects.
According to Angola Press News Agency, in Mussungue, Filomena Miza visited the construction sites of a nursing home, a water well, a primary school, and three land reserves. These projects are considered vital for the community’s development and well-being.
In Dundo, the provincial capital, the governor inspected the rehabilitation works at the Rapid Intervention Police headquarters, the Catholic Church, and the sidewalks. Additionally, she learned about the ongoing rehabilitation of four multi-sports courts and the municipal market, which are expected to enhance community engagement and local commerce.
In Chitato, Filomena Miza reviewed the construction of the community incense burner, the drinking water supply system for the Cacanda prison, and the future industrial zone. These initiatives aim to improve infrastructure and promote economic growth in the region.
The province of Lunda-Norte, with a population of 1,153,060, comprises 19 municipalities, including Dundo, Chitato, Capenda-Camulemba, Cuilo, Cassanje, Calucala, Cuango, Caugula, Cafunfu, Lucapa, L³vua, Lubalo, Luangue, Luremo, Mussungue, Cambulo, Canzar, Camaxilo, X¡-Cassau, and M¡ Muteba.
