Luanda Science Center Hosts Second Edition of Astronomy Event

Luanda: The Luanda Science Center (CCL) is set to present the second edition of “From Luanda to the Universe” this Saturday. The event will feature educational workshops intended for all age groups, aiming to enhance public understanding of astronomy.



According to Angola Press News Agency, visitors will have the opportunity to observe the night sky for a two-hour session, focusing particularly on the planets Jupiter and Mars. This celestial observation will be conducted using telescopes, allowing participants to explore the sky above Luanda.



The CCL will also host a videomapping session at 10 pm, providing an innovative audiovisual experience through the use of advanced technology. This initiative is part of the center’s effort to engage Angolans across different age groups with the various fields of science, fostering knowledge through practical and engaging methods.



The inaugural edition of “From Luanda to the Universe” took place on February 1 this year. The Luanda Science Center is recognized as a pioneering institution in Angola, committed to promoting scientific and technological literacy.



Situated in a restored former soap factory, the center serves as a cultural enrichment site for the outskirts of Luanda, offering a distinctive experience where the public can interact with science in an engaging and accessible manner for all ages.
