L©raba: The High Commissioner of the province of L©raba, Yacouba Sawadogo, expressed his satisfaction with the conduct of the great prayer of Eid El Fitr in Sindou, amidst a crisis concerning the appointment of a new leader for the prayers. “On this day of Ramadan, I am very honored to be here this morning after 30 days of fasting for this great prayer, which constitutes the second fold of Islam. May the Almighty be thanked!” declared Sawadogo, emphasizing the significance of the event.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Muslim community in Sindou has been embroiled in a leadership crisis since the death of the Grand Imam on March 6, 2022. Despite this, Sawadogo praised the Muslim faithful for uniting to perform a single great prayer, reflecting social cohesion among them. He was pleased with the peaceful conduct of the Eid al-Fitr prayer.
Sawadogo also expressed gratitude to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) for ensuring security in the province during the celebrations. He conveyed his wishes for health, success, and prosperity to the people of the province, emphasizing the importance of collaboration for the development of Sindou, L©raba, and Burkina Faso as a whole.
