L©raba: The High Commissioner of the L©raba Province, Yacouba Sawadogo, presided over the 22nd stage of the rotating ceremony for raising the national colors in Sindou on Thursday, July 3, 2025. He expressed the hope that collaboration between the population and the defense and security forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) would be an imperative for everyone.
According to Burkina Information Agency, since June 9, 2022, the rotating ceremony for raising the national colors has been organized in public and parapublic services and structures in L©raba, the second province of the Cascades region.
The flag-raising ceremony took place on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the provincial tax office in Sindou, organized by the post office, which was undergoing renovation, under the chairmanship of the High Commissioner of the province of L©raba, Yacouba Sawadogo.
“To consolidate the spirit of civic-mindedness and patriotism in each of us and to ensure the systematic respect of the symbols of the State, particularly the national colors,” said Mr. Sawadogo.
While paying tribute to the FDS and VDP, the High Commissioner urged everyone to ensure that collaboration between us and our FDS, as well as the VDP, remains an imperative for each of us.
The head of the post office, Nina Lore Coulibaly, paid tribute to the FDS while welcoming the initiative of this raising of the national colors in the L©raba.
She also allowed a guided tour of the newly renovated branch for the participants after the occasion.
At the end of this ceremony, the torch was handed over to the provincial director of the treasury, Mathieu Sawadogo, to host the 23rd edition.
“The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 7, 3025 to succeed in this challenge,” according to the commitment made by Mr. Sawadogo.
