L©raba: The Secretary General of the province of L©raba, representing the High Commissioner, Y©onvi¨l Som©, addressed candidates of the Brevet d’©tudes du premier cycle (BEPC) on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the Doctor Seydou Traor© provincial high school, urging them to remain calm during their examinations.
According to Burkina Information Agency, a total of 3,306 candidates, consisting of 1,099 girls and 2,207 boys, are sitting for the BEPC 2025 session in L©raba, the second province of the Cascades region. These candidates are distributed across 15 secondary centers with 10 juries overseeing the examinations. Among the candidates, 12 individuals with disabilities (5 boys and 7 girls) and 16 internally displaced candidates (7 girls and 9 boys) are participating.
The province has mobilized 684 education stakeholders to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations. The provincial director in charge of secondary education, Amadou Ti©moko Traor©, confirmed that the organizational process is proceeding without issues. All centers are fully equipped and secured by the defense and security forces.
The examination session commenced at 7:25 a.m. when Secretary General Y©onvi¨l Som© opened the first envelope, containing the dictation test, after verification by several candidates. Som© emphasized the importance of maintaining composure and adhering to the examiners’ instructions throughout the examination process.
