Loroum Holds First Session of 2025 Provincial Consultation Framework

Loroum: The High Commissioner of Loroum Province, Djibril Bassol©, chaired the first ordinary session of the Provincial Consultation Framework (CCP) on Thursday, December 18, 2025. Participants addressed several topics on the agenda.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this unique session of the year saw attendance from representatives of technical services, civil society organizations, traditional and religious leaders, and development project and program managers. The agenda included five presentations, notably a report by the NGO SOLIDEV on community conflict prevention, an overview of the conflict situation in Loroum Province during the third quarter of 2025, and challenges related to gender-based violence.

The provincial director in charge of social action, Daouda Derra, provided a 2025 assessment concerning gender-based violence, revealing that more than 150 victims were recorded and supported with the help of partners. Mr. Derra urged administrative authorities and traditional and religious leaders to raise awareness about this issue and assist in identifying and referring victims for necessary support.

During the session, it was noted that the 16 Days of Activism held from December 25 to 10, 2025, facilitated several initiatives in Titao, supported by various associations and NGOs active in the province. Captain Djibril Bassol© informed participants about the national campaign "Dªm© Sira," or "The Voice of Solidarity," which took place in the Yaagda region from December 13 to 15, before moving to the Liptako and Soum regions.

Contributions for the campaign can be submitted to the Loroum Provincial Directorate of Humanitarian Action until January 20, 2026, and Mr. Bassol© encouraged participants to fully mobilize for the campaign's success in the province.
