Ouagadougou: The special delegation of the municipality of Bingo held its second ordinary session of the year on Monday, where local development and land were at the center of the discussions. Chaired by the president of the special delegation, Yacouba Gouem, the work addressed crucial issues for local development, including land management and youth protection. According to Burkina Information Agency, it was in the town hall's reception hall that the members of the special delegation met to examine several items on the agenda. After approving the minutes of the first extraordinary session of 2026, the councilors paid particular attention to the issue of clearing land-related debts. On this point, the participants reaffirmed their determination to find definitive and peaceful solutions to the ongoing land disputes in the municipality. The highlight of this meeting was the fight against social ills. The delegation adopted an operational strategy aimed at strengthening the enforcement of the resolution prohi biting the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages throughout the entire municipal territory. This measure primarily aims to protect local youth from the harmful effects of these substances. Furthermore, the session was marked by a moment of conviviality and recognition. The delegation officially congratulated Comrade El Hadj Congo Tanga Lassané, recently elevated to the rank of Ambassador of Peace by the Universal Peace Federation. President Yacouba Gouem and his colleagues welcomed this distinction which honors the municipality and reiterated their confidence in the candidate for his commitment to social cohesion in the locality.
