IBIZA - Argentine football superstar Lionel Messi is seeking compensation following an act of vandalism by environmental activists on his property in Ibiza, demanding 50,000 euros for damages incurred.
According to Burkina Informational Agency, the incident involving members of Futuro Vegetal occurred on August 6, when they threw paint on the facade of Messi's mansion. This act is part of a series of protests by the group, who have been involved in various disruptions across Spain, including halting operations at Madrid's airport, blocking major roads, and vandalizing the Kingdom's Parliament building. Their past activities have also included attaching themselves to artwork in Madrid's Museo Nacional del Prado.
Messi, 37, renowned for his extensive football career and multiple accolades, including eight Ballon d'Or titles, has been associated with top clubs like FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and most recently, Inter Miami. His demand for compensation marks a significant stance against the repeated actions of environmental activists targeting high-profile figures and locations to draw attention to their cause.
