Polokwane—After a video showing a police van transporting furniture circulated on social media, the Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, clarified the van's official assignment.
According to a new release by South African Police Service, the van was officially deployed to transport equipment and furniture to Victim Friendly Rooms at police stations across the province. The furniture is part of a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) project, aimed at ensuring that GBV victims are treated with care and dignity.
