Lifeless Body of Local Resident Discovered in Ondangwa Water Pan

Ondangwa: The lifeless body of 41-year-old Salom Nikanor was found floating in a water pan behind the Oluno correctional facility in Ondangwa in the Oshana region on Saturday morning, with police suspecting foul play.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the Namibian Police Force from Oshana region reported on Monday that a member of the public discovered the deceased's body around 09h40 and alerted the Oluno police station. Upon inspection, police observed blood flowing from the front side of the underwear, and further inspection revealed that the testicles were missing, suspected to have been cut off.

The police also noted swollen marks on Nikanor's face, suggesting the possibility of murder. Nikanor, a resident of Okakwiyu village in Onethindi, was transported to the Oshakati police mortuary for an autopsy. His next of kin have been informed, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
