“Let Order and Discipline Now Prevail,” Urges the Director of Secondary Education, Idrissa Roko

Nayala: The Provincial Director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training of Nayala, Idrissa Roko, urged students in the city of Toma to commit themselves to ensuring that order and discipline will now prevail, in accordance with the directives of the President of Faso, on the occasion of the launch of civic and patriotic guidance for students in intermediate classes.

According to Burkina Information Agency, for this pilot phase, 2,263 students from six secondary schools in the city of Toma will benefit from this training, provided by civilian, military, and paramilitary supervisors from the province.

In his address, Idrissa Roko indicated that civic and patriotic guidance, following the mandatory patriotic immersion, constitutes a response to the crisis of citizenship and the loss of societal values. He invited the students to commit themselves resolutely so that order and discipline may now prevail, in accordance with the directives of the President of Faso.

The Provincial Director emphasized that this first edition, scheduled to last six weeks, aims to instill in students essential civic values such as love of country, solidarity, living together, hygiene and cleanliness in schools, as well as the fight against drugs, violence, and incivility in schools.

As a sign of support for the initiative, the students sang the national anthem together with all the participants. The High Commissioner of the province of Nayala, Honore Frederic Pare, congratulated the students for their commitment to respecting the vision of the educational authorities. He urged them to attend the training diligently before thanking all the educational stakeholders mobilized to support this initiative. Mr. Pare then officially declared the civic and patriotic education activities launched in the province of Nayala.
