Leraba Development Stakeholders Convene for Provincial Consultation Framework

Leraba: The High Commissioner of the province of Leraba, Yacouba Sawadogo, presided over the 1st ordinary session of the provincial consultation framework in Sindou. The meeting, held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, served as a platform for disseminating and promoting development actions within the province.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the session aimed to enhance collaboration among development actors by fostering ongoing consultations to synchronize interventions and synergize actions on the ground. High Commissioner Yacouba Sawadogo emphasized the importance of these consultations in achieving the province's development goals.

During the session, stakeholders deliberated on the activity program for 2026 and strategies to revitalize consultations in Leraba. The meeting included four communications, with three presented by Ousmane Ouedraogo, the director responsible for Humanitarian Action and National Solidarity, and another by Batoure Kinore from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

Ousmane Ouedraogo provided an overview of past actions, future prospects, and recommendations aimed at enhancing solidarity. He announced plans for solidarity competitions sponsored by the Head of State, offering prizes of up to 5 million CFA francs to commendable individuals.

Batoure Kinore from UNHCR elaborated on their missions, objectives, intervention areas, and target audiences. The presentation also included future perspectives and recommendations from UNHCR's standpoint.

High Commissioner Yacouba Sawadogo expressed satisfaction with the discussions and the cooperative spirit of the meeting. He encouraged all framework members to actively participate in the framework's operations to further Leraba's development.
