Leaders Finalize Malulu Injendi’s Burial Ceremony

Kakamega: Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa yesterday urged residents of Malava Constituency and leaders to uphold peace and dignity during the burial ceremony of Malava MP the late Malulu Injendi, which is scheduled for Tuesday next week. Speaking at the late MP’s home in Malava, Governor Barasa emphasized the need for unity and calm during the funeral proceedings.

According to Kenya News Agency, leaders from various sectors are expected to attend the burial and pay their last respects to the late MP, who many described as a servant of the people. Among those present were the President’s aid Farouk Kibet, PS for Higher Education Beatrice Inyangala, MPs, MCAs among other leaders.

Governor Barasa urged, “Let us not use the youth to heckle other leaders during the ceremony, we want to remain calm and peaceful to give our leader a befitting send-off.” The late MP died in Nairobi after a short illness and will be airlifted to Kakamega for his burial.

Barasa further urged leaders not to use the ceremony to spearhead their political agenda, instead to mourn the departed legislator with dignity.
