Launch of ‘Sport for All’ Initiative Energizes Dissihn

Ioba: The T¹u sports and leisure center association of Dissihn organized the sports activity called ‘Sport for All’ in the commune of Dissihn, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, marking the opening of the sports season.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch of “Sport for All” in the commune of Dissihn was punctuated by a popular cross followed by an aerobics session. The people of Dissihn came out in large numbers for the success of this activity.



Starting from the SONAPOST in Dissihn, the participants ran and sang along the national road 20 to the forestry post. There, they turned around to finish the cross at the youth center.



After a moment of refreshment, the aerobics session began to the satisfaction of the athletes of the day. This event marking the opening of the sports season was chaired by the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Dissihn, Benjamin Nana.



According to the president of the Dissihn sports center association, Honor© Bationo, this activity aims to encourage the practice of physical and sporting activities, a means of personal and collective development.



In addition, it helps to strengthen the mix between the population and the defense and security forces (FDS) and volunteers for the defense of the homeland (VDP), he continued.



The regional director in charge of sports and leisure in the South-West, Ars¨ne Som©, representing the Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment at this activity congratulated the organizers and athletes for their mobilization. He offered two footballs to the commune of Dissihn.



The PDS of Dissihn, Benjamin Nana, noted that the participation was beyond his expectations.



He invited the participants to maintain this momentum for the next deadlines. “We will work on this because you cannot buy the benefits of sport. You just have to practice it,” Mr. Nana said.
