Launch of Pedagogical Days in Koulpelogo: An Opportunity for Exchanges and Reflection for Teachers

Koulpelogo: The Koulpelogo province has officially launched its pedagogical days, a major event that brings together all high school and middle school teachers for four days of discussion and reflection. This conference, opened Monday by the province’s High Commissioner, Saidou Ouedraogo, aims to create a platform for dialogue on educational reforms and to discuss new pedagogical directions.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial director of secondary education and vocational and technical training of Koulpelogo, Jacob Segda, expressed his satisfaction at seeing such a gathering of education professionals, stressing the importance of these days for the development of the quality of education in the province. “These pedagogical days are a special time for our teachers to come together and discuss the important themes that shape our education system, while also discussing the new reforms implemented nationally,” he said.

The program will feature presentations on the recently adopted school curriculum reforms, followed by discussions and exchanges between participants. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect together on the future of education in the province, particularly with regard to adapting teaching practices to contemporary challenges.

The pedagogical days, which will continue until Friday, October 24, 2025, also provide a framework for addressing the issues of the national educational reform plan, thus allowing teachers to actively contribute to the implementation of government policies.

The debates, which take place in an atmosphere of collaboration and sharing of experience, aim to provide concrete solutions to the challenges encountered by teachers in their daily practice. They will also focus on how to strengthen the capacities of trainers, particularly in the area of vocational and technical training, which is essential for preparing young people for the realities of the job market.

Pedagogical days are therefore an essential initiative to ensure quality education, adapted to the needs of society, and to strengthen the commitment of teachers in the implementation of educational reforms. This event illustrates the desire of local authorities to encourage the active participation of the educational community in the development of education in the province of Koulpelogo, while promoting a constructive exchange of ideas to improve the training of younger generations.

The president of the special delegation of Ouargaye, Mahamadou Soulama, also welcomed all participants to this event.
