Late Namibian President Hage Geingob Honored with Venezuelan Sword of Honour

CARACAS—In a solemn ceremony, the late Namibian President Dr. Hage Geingob was posthumously awarded the first-class Libertadores de Venezuela Sword of Honour by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the prestigious award was received by Geingob’s daughter, Nangula Geingos, during her visit to Venezuela for the inaugural World Congress Against Fascism, Neo-Fascism, and similar movements. President Maduro highlighted Geingob’s significant contributions to Africa as a founding father of independent Namibia and a prominent revolutionary figure.

Nangula Geingos expressed her profound gratitude for the honor bestowed upon her father, recognizing it as a symbol of heroism from the Venezuelan people. This recognition reflects the international regard for Geingob’s enduring impact on his country and beyond.
