Vientiane: The Pharmaceutical and Medical Products Business Association was officially launched to bolster the pharmaceutical industry in Laos, aiming to support joint efforts that drive business growth and contribute to the country’s socio-economic development.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the launching ceremony, held on Thursday, underscored the association’s roles, rights, and responsibilities. It served as a platform to discuss its strategic action plan, which is designed to fortify the sector and enhance its contribution to national development, as reported by Lao Economic Daily on Friday.
During the event, Valy Vetsaphong, President of the association, emphasized that the launch seeks to promote collaboration on plans to support businesses, factories, and entrepreneurs within the sector. The ultimate goal is to maximize industry benefits and contribute significantly to Laos’ socio-economic growth.
The association, which includes over 40 member companies, benefits from robust cooperation between the public and private sectors and close collaboration among industry stakeholders. It is anticipated to play a crucial role in driving growth, innovation, and quality standards in Laos’ pharmaceutical and medical products sector.
